Aconex is online document management and project management software that holds all project correspondence and documentation in a central repository. This makes it easy for users to store, track, search, archive, version control and report on all documents and mail items, according to the vendor. Aconex software is secured using a128-bit SSL certificate.
Regarding correspondence management, Aconex software will save emails, RFIs, site instructions and variation requests, transmittals and progress claims, the vendor said.
Document management features of Aconex software, meanwhile, include revision tracking, automatic updates when revisions are made and instant messaging that is linked to the process or viewing and marking up documents, the vendor said. Search functionality helps users find the files, which can be stored for periods of up to several years.
Finally, Aconex software's construction project management features include individualized implementation procedures and information protocols; a "set it and forget it" task management system for mail items, tenders and activities, and a directory that lets project managers set up information distribution groups, according to Aconex.
Additional Aconex software modules cover tasks such as document workflow, electronic tender processing, contract administration and supplier documentation.
