Bluebeam Software's PDF Revu can convert CAD files and Microsoft Office files to PDF files with one click. (PDF stands for Portable Document Format.) The software can also export to file formats such as JPEG, GIF and Bitmap.

After receiving PDFs from architects or consultants, construction personnel can red-line and edit the files, using industry-standard symbols that are made available in markup symbol libraries. PDFs and PDF RFI forms can then be combined into one package that can be emailed to sub-contractors, colleagues or clients. The resulting document is designed to maintain the quality of an original CAD drawing, according to Bluebeam.

Finally, PDF Revu tracks and stores markups and PDF documents; this creates a record of all correspondence and changes, according to Bluebeam.
PDF Revu works on desktops, notebooks or tablet PCs. It comes in Standard and CAD editions, both of which are available directly from Bluebeam or through an authorized solution provider partner. Bluebeam also has OEM versions of its software available.
