Cadsoft's Envisioneer includes 3D design, working drawings, framing, rendering, animation and material take-off.
Envisioneer 4.5 is available in standard and pro bundles, as well as a Spanish version. All editions include live 3-D BIM technology and tools for creating sales presentations, as well as 3-D renderings of 2-D blueprints.
Users can control costs since all BIM elements are culled from a catalog, allowing Envisioneer to generate a detailed bill of materials directly from the model, according to Cadsoft. Moreover, since users can generate and view plans, elevations, sections and details from the 3D model and then export those documents in the DWG file format, builders and remodelers can work quickly, the vendor said.
Other capabilities include the ability to add dimensions and notations to drawings; to give clients a full-color, 3-D virtual tour; to help clients choose upgrades from the catalog of options, and to create cost estimates.
The software can be purchased as a CD or download. It includes a digital user guide, Quick Start guide and two months of customer support. The Standard and Spanish versions of Envisioneer list for $1,295 each, while the Pro version retails for $1,495. It includes all the standard version's capabilities, plus the Envisioneer Product CD, a printed user guide and Quick Start guide, 12 months of customer support, Cadsoft's nine-volume i-Train Video Series and the CAD Details Library.
