The most recent CompuTool release, CompuTool/enhanced, includes improved two-way sales and scheduling and better integration with third party applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Intuit QuickBooks and smart phones.
Available in both Web-based and client/server versions, CompuTool/enhanced comes in Bronze, Silver and Gold editions, which offer functionality based on an organization's size and business requirements.
The Bronze Level of this business and construction management software includes lead tracking and resulting; project tracking; construction estimating and contract writing; communication tracking; sales scheduling and QuickBooks integration. The Silver Level includes all Bronze Level modules as well as production scheduling and tools; sub and vendor tracking; service calls and warranty tracking; form builder; photo database and document storage, and referral points lead generator. The Gold Level includes all other features, as well as a marketing campaign builder, finance tracking and sliding scale commission module.
Specific CompuTool/enhanced components are available for design-build remodelers and for franchisors. The design-build component was designed to manage remodeling projects from the initial sales contact through post-project service. The production scheduling feature helps remodelers meet budgets or, in the case of unexpected delays, keep clients informed, the vendor said. The tool produces warranties, follow-up surveys and marketing communications, designed to keep builders in touch with customers and boost referral rates, the vendor said.
Most recently, the vendor added a component to its business and construction management software for franchisors, dealer networks and sell-furnish-installers. CompuTool's system is based on its flow-based business processes that use a logical, systematic approach towards all stages of remodeling, the vendor said. Franchisees receive real-time reports and total network reports to encourage the sharing of best practices. Using CompuTool, member companies can receive changes -- to product lines or pricing, for example -- immediately, ensuring consistency and customer satisfaction. Reports enable management to identify the most successful franchisees and any areas of weakness that could benefit from corporate intervention, training or support, the vendor said.
