One of the core features of Exact Globe is the Projects Management module. This application allows for all transactions to be associated with a Project allowing for true project accounting capabilities. This is extremely useful for services-based organizations as well as Research and Development (R&D) functions within an organization. The use of this application extends the value beyond traditional Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to other parts of the organization ensuring quicker Return on Investment (ROI).
Each Project can have sub-projects and also allow for the inclusion of documents as well as budgets per project. Many organizations today make use of projects, in some shape or form, be it for marketing automation, Research and Development, Customer-driven projects or complex product launches. With the need to ensure costs are contained and managed effectively, it becomes even more important to ensure time is allocated and recorded properly on a project by project basis to help determine the true cost of a specific project.
Exact recognizes (and is subject to) this requirement and provides for the ability to capture time and expenses on a resource and project level within the Projects module. Users of the Projects module are able to extract a Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, on demand, in real-time, of any project currently in progress to help determine if any remedial action from management is required. This becomes a key business benefit (and requirement) in a lean and slow economy.
