Competition and new information technology constantly drive new business models. Business today accelerates at such a speed that your company's short-term success could depend on its ability to collaborate efficiently – not only within the supply chain, but also within the units of your enterprise.
Company-wide collaboration and sharing of data can help improve the use of resources through aggregating and automating the sales and procurement processes. The solution can also enable you to reduce stock items and inventory levels, increase stock-turns through improved corporate planning and procurement, and ease the analysis of consolidated business information through the use of Business Intelligence tools. With IBS Corporate Data Maintenance, your company can take steps to achieve online control of its total enterprise finances – a must in today's economy.
SHARING DATA If all business units have their own data maintenance and policy for item coding, chart of accounts etc., it's virtually impossible to coordinate sales and purchasing or to perform business analysis on a corporate level. With IBS Corporate Data Maintenance, corporate files and tables can easily be maintained and distributed. IBS Corporate Data Maintenance is built on the concept that corporate data for several IBS Enterprise companies is maintained at one company, and automatically distributed to all other units that make up the organization. Any IBS Enterprise-supported companies within the corporation can maintain and distribute shared data. What to send, and to whom, is regulated through Data Interchange rules. The following areas are covered within IBS Corporate Data Maintenance:
ITEMS All information related to corporate items can be maintained at a corporate and/or local level, including:
Basic information Foreign descriptions Inventory control Item cross-references Manufacturing information Sales prices Service object information Supplier information and purchase prices
BUSINESS PARTNERS Corporate business partners' details and information can also be maintained at either the corporate and/or local level, including:
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable information Addresses Bank data Basic information Credit cards Customer information Phone numbers Supplier information
ACCOUNTS Below are some of the account features:

DATA TRANSFER The Data Interchange (DI) interface is used for transfer of data between companies. If the sending company has added or changed any records, the updated information is automatically logged and transferred to the receiving companies.
INTEGRATION OF CORPORATE AND LOCAL DATA MAINTENANCE Each company defines, through the DI interface, which data they wish to receive. At both the sending company and receiving companies, it's possible to control if a record or even a single field should be updated on either a global or local level. This allows you to have corporate items globally updated but to protect the local updating of some fields. For instance, you could receive all new corporate items but have the possibility to define and maintain local sales prices.
QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA) To ensure that data is as accurate as possible, all records received are automatically verified through validation routines. The solution streamlines validation by creating and sending an alert to the person responsible, if the system detects an error. For instance, if a newly received item is bought from a supplier that does not exist within the receiving company, an alert will be sent automatically to the user who deals with business partner maintenance.
IBS Corporate Data Maintenance is a highly flexible solution that improves your business performance by controlling vast amounts of information within your company. By adopting a smooth process for managing corporate data maintenance, you ensure that all business units have the same, accurate data, empowering them to deliver optimum results.
