Jobscope - Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Module

Jobscope’s Repair Management System supports a variety of remanufacturing operations' characteristics of the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO)/component repair environments. The management of the receipt, tear-down, inspection, and repair and overhaul activities for customer-supplied items and rotable stock is provided. The repair management functionality includes:

Tear-down Inspection Activity
The Bill of Material (BOM) for the received item defines the components for a tear-down parts list. The item’s workscope (user defined such as major or minor overhaul) identifies the routing operations for tear-down activities. Inspectors can record each component’s deficiencies, recommend repairs, and record serial numbers if applicable. The system calculates estimated repair costs based on needed repairs for each component. Using this information, inspectors can recommend action such as scrap the component, use as is, use after it is repaired, or use it after repair as rotable. Major subassemblies can be recommended for tear-down and rebuild.

Repair Activity
Once a recommended action is approved, the system creates a workscope containing the components needed to be repaired, the repair operations, and the required materials. Due to unknowns resulting in the need to perform numerous tasks on a component, multiple routings for the same component are provided. The system uses unique work order functionality to report labor, material usage and receipts for repair activities. Rotable parts are supported.

"Whole Aircraft Approach"
The project/contract approach to overhauling a complete aircraft is supported by the Aviation Repair Management System. All activity including that from sub-contract work flows to the project/contract level. Complete tracking of all costs on a real-time basis is provided. The objective of the “whole aircraft” repair system is identical to that of component repair: to return to the customer a quality product within the time promised and, at the same time, make a profit for the services provided.
