WinMAGI Engineering Management software consists of the bills of material (BOM), routings, workcenters, engineering change capability and user-defined tables that provide context for all of that.
Creating a Bill of Material Bills of material (BOM) can be developed one component at a time or copied from a different BOM using WinMAGI’s same-as-except capability. Routings can be created the same way. Global change and mass replace tools provide convenient shortcuts.
If you choose to identify which operation on the routing consumes which components on the BOM, materials resource planning (MRP) will synchronize the due date of each component with the start date of the operation that consumes it.
Configurator WinMAGI’s configurator enables you to structure products that allow customers to choose features and options that are pre-engineered. As the customer picks and chooses, WinMAGI creates the BOM, routing, product cost, selling price and profit/loss margin.
Shop Calendar Each workcenter can have its own shop calendar. You don’t have to tolerate the old "workday/non-workday" settings. Factories are more complex than that. And, each workcenter can be assigned different work hours and a planned utilization percentage to accommodate predictable downtime.
Engineering Changes Manage engineering changes by way of formal ECOs or a simple authorization. Formal ECOs require the user to create various types of ECOs based on what groups or individuals must approve them before they go into effect. WinMAGI will collect signatures and enforce the discipline.
