Acquisition Continues to Build Deeper Manufacturing Industry Expertise Aligned With Customer Needs
INDIANAPOLIS, December 9, 2005 — Made2Manage Systems Inc., the leading provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for manufacturers across multiple manufacturing industries, today announced that it has acquired Capri Corp. after receiving regulatory approvals and satisfying the closing conditions of the transaction, originally announced in November. Capri Corp., through its operating subsidiary Cimnet Systems Inc., is one of the world’s leading suppliers of ERP software and services to the printed circuit board (PCB) industry.
The acquisition is Made2Manage Systems’ third in the last 15 months. The addition of Cimnet Systems’ deep expertise in the PCB manufacturing sector and its PCB-focused product and service offerings allows Made2Manage Systems to extend its strategy of offering high-quality, industry-specific technology solutions to manufacturers. The completed acquisition further expands Made2Manage Systems’ footprint in the international marketplace by adding new operations in Europe, India and Asia, including three locations in China. The deal also increases Made2Manage Systems’ customer base to 2,100 manufacturers worldwide and its employee base by 50 percent.
As part of its long-term growth strategy, Made2Manage Systems continues to actively evaluate additional acquisition candidates. “Our growth model is 100 percent customer driven,” said Jeff Tognoni, CEO of Made2Manage Systems. “We will continue to internally develop or externally acquire domain expertise in specific vertical markets that align with our customers’ needs. Cimnet Systems will now operate as a business unit of Made2Manage Systems. Cimnet Systems’ executive team, including Mehul Davé and P. Balasubramanian, remains in place to continue managing day-to-day operations. Davé, co-founder and CEO of Cimnet Systems, assumes the role of general manager and vice president and Balasubramanian, co-founder and executive vice president of Cimnet Systems, assumes the role of director of development. Made2Manage Systems plans to maintain Cimnet Systems’ offices in Chicago, Germany, India and China. Additionally, Made2Manage Systems remains committed to the ongoing maintenance, support and development of Cimnet Systems’ product and service line to meet the needs of both existing and future customers.
