Cougar Mountain Software Provides Added Security, Ease of Use in Latest Version of Its Accounting Software |

September 28, 2004 / BOISE, IDAHO – Cougar Mountain Software is now shipping Version 9 of its general accounting, FUND accounting and point of sale software products with new features developed as a result of customer suggestions.
Version 9’s more than twenty new features expand the power and flexibility of the product and make it easier and faster to use. The ability to quickly drill down to transaction details, enhanced look-up and reporting features, and added security features make Cougar Mountain Software the ideal accounting solution for small to medium-sized businesses that have outgrown their initial accounting software.
Some of Version 9’s new features that help businesses manage their finances are:- Jump to Detail (Drill-down): Customers will save time and paper with this new ability to double-click on a transaction and view a history report with detailed information on the selected item. The feature was added to the AP Vendor, AR Customer, Order Entry/Point of Sale General Ledger and Payroll Employee modules.
- Enhanced Lookup: By adding customer and vendor phone numbers to lookup, users can search and sort by phone number and view that information whenever vendor and customer data is accessed.
- Additional Salesperson Security: This new security feature helps growing businesses maintain secure control of their finances. The feature adds the option of prohibiting a sales clerk from editing a saved invoice or receipt, while maintaining their ability to retrieve and view those transactions.
- Enhanced Reporting: Several enhancements to Cougar Mountain’s reporting capabilities make it easier for customers to select, filter and display information.
