Epicor Breaks into the Top 100 on Software Magazine’s Software 500 List and Moves
up Eight Positions on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 for Orange County
IRVINE, Calif., October 31, 2007 — Epicor® Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC), a
leading provider of enterprise business software solutions for the midmarket and divisions of
Global 1000 companies, is pleased to announce two industry honors recognizing the company’s
continued growth and success. Epicor has been recognized as one of the top 100 companies
listed in Software Magazine’s Software 500 ranking of the world’s largest software and service
providers, and has also been named to Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for
Orange County, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications,
and life sciences companies in the area by Deloitte & Touche USA LLP.

Making its eighth consecutive appearance on the prestigious Software 500, Epicor has
made a steady climb, now ranked in the top 20% of software providers. The list is a revenuebased
ranking of the world’s largest software and services suppliers targeting medium to large
enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in
software and services purchasing.

“The Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers and IT staff research create the
short list of business partners,” says John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and
Softwaremag.com. “It is a quick reference of vendor viability. That is content of value.”
The ranking is based on total worldwide software and services revenue for 2006. This
includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and softwarerelated
services and consulting. Suppliers are not ranked on their total corporate revenue,
since many have other lines of business, such as hardware. The financial information was
gathered by a survey prepared by King Content Co. and posted at www.Softwaremag.com, as
well as from public documents.
Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 Program for Orange County
Continued growth year-over-year has placed Epicor, for the second consecutive year,
among a group of select companies that qualify for the Technology Fast 50. This prestigious
honor recognizes the 50 fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications and life
sciences companies in Orange County based on the percentage revenue growth over five years
from 2002–2006. Epicor’s increase in revenues of 167.7 percent from 2002 to 2006 resulted in
a 27 ranking in the Technology Fast 50 for Orange County.

To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of
at least $50,000 in 2002 and $5,000,000 in 2006, be headquartered in North America, and be a
company that owns proprietary technology or proprietary intellectual property that contributes to
a significant portion of the company's operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of
revenues to the research and development of technology.
