Support for Crystal 10 highlights added functionality
CHICAGO, Illinois – National Manufacturing Week (Booth #24029)- March 21, 2006 - Exact Software™, a leading provider of solutions that connect the people, processes and knowledge essential to an organization, today announced the availability of new features and enhancements to Exact Event Manager™, the company’s business activity monitoring/exception management solution. This new version features a series of enhancements designed to further companies’ ability to maintain a firm grasp on the important dates and thresholds associated with various business processes.
Event Manager version 5.7 now includes support for Crystal Reports version 10 and version 9, and reports are now generated using RDC, rather than the Crystal Report Engine. Other major enhancements include Crystal Export options for both XML and Microsoft Word. Event Manager also now allows interrogation requests from other processes and services.
Additional upgrades and enhancements include new date and time functions including conversion to Universal Time Code (UTC).

Exact Event Manager is a comprehensive business activity monitoring (BAM) solution that triggers emails, workflows and other activities based on pre-defined thresholds or business events. While other solutions are able to notify business users of impending red flags, their usefulness is limited because they lack the ability to elevate and activate internal processes designed to achieve the appropriate resolution. Exact Event Manager enables business users to quickly and easily establish parameters for critical processes that not only send notification when the threshold is approaching but generate new workflow tasks to employees, partners, suppliers and customers to expedite a resolution.
