Supervisory Board Names Eduard Hagens as CEO; James P. Kent, Jr. to Remain as CEO of Exact North America
Andover, Massachusetts – September 10, 2004 – Exact Software™ (Amsterdam Euronext: EXAH.AS), a leading provider of solutions that connect the people, processes and knowledge essential to an organization, today announced the reassignment of Eduard Hagens as CEO. As a result of this development, the Supervisory Board of Exact Software has also announced the resignation of current CEO Lucas Brentjens and CFO Bert Groenewegen. All changes will be effective as of October 15, 2004.
The change in management and leadership is the result of the Supervisory Board’s decision to appoint a management team that can help fulfill the corporate vision of Exact, its Supervisory Board, and its employees. The Supervisory Board of Exact Software is very thankful to both Mr. Brentjens and Mr. Groenewegen for their service and wishes them well in their future endeavors. James P. Kent, Jr. will remain as CEO of Exact North America.
Exact entered the North American market in 2001 with its purchase of Ohio-based Macola® Technologies, and continued its growth on the continent with the purchase of the Kewill ERP group, which included the JobBOSS®, MAX®, and Alliance/MFG® brands, in 2002. Since introducing its e-Synergy® business management solution in North America later that year, the company has helped organizations such as Davis Controls, Diemolding, Phantom Screens and the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) create new levels of efficiency across their businesses.

Eduard Hagens is a co-founder of Exact Software and has been an integral member of the organization since its inception in 1984. He oversaw the company’s growth in the European market, and also developed its worldwide expansion strategy. Mr. Hagens has been on sabbatical since November 1, 2003. In returning to the position of CEO, he will be responsible for continuing the company’s worldwide growth and vision. |
