New software donated to Anoka Technical College's Machining Program
JobBOSS Exact Software of North America (Minneapolis) donated $9,000 worth of new shop management software to Anoka Technical College's Machine Technology program.
"This is really important to the future of our program," said Michael Hilber, Program Instructor. "It is amazing what this software can do. We've already implemented it into the Job Shop Fundamentals class curriculum!"
Patty Marascuilo, Senior Regional Sales Manager for JobBOSS, identified why they donated the software to the college. "Anoka Technical College is an important contributor to the future of the manufacturing technology industry. Its graduates are highly sought after."
The JobBOSS software donated provides solutions to small to medium-sized manufacturing businesses. It helps them quote accurately, schedule realistically, increase employee productivity and manage material and work-in-process effectively. "Our manufacturing programs reflect the industry," said Anne Weyandt, president of Anoka Technical College. "We're at a crossroads and need to move forward, developing state-of-the-industry programming, which helps area businesses move forward in an increasingly competitive world market. Through the generosity of firms like JobBOSS we can recreate our programs, providing better training for our students and a definite competitive edge for our business partners."
"It is our privilege to donate to the college," said Marascuilo.
JobBOSS started production in 1984. According to Marascuilo, it is the only job shop software solution that takes a true job-based approach to shop management, particularly for job shops that deal with constant change.
Anoka Technical College is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System. It offers career programs in information technology and business, construction and manufacturing, health and emergency services, transportation and horticulture, and customized training for business and industry.
