Enhancements enable job shops to significantly reduce the cost of quality control
Minneapolis, Minnesota – January 17, 2005 – Exact Software™, a leading provider of solutions that connect the people, processes and knowledge essential to an organization, today announced the availability of JobBOSS Quality Toolkit version 8.0, an add-on module for Exact JobBOSS®, the company’s shop management software for job shops, mixed mode and custom manufacturers.
Fully integrated with JobBOSS, the Quality Toolkit (QTK) version 8.0 enables job shops to easily create, link, track and manage the lifecycle of quality activities and documents. Focusing on five core areas, including non-conformances, corrective preventative actions, tool and equipment maintenance, document control and to-do lists, the QTK allows shops to automate time-intensive processes. This functionality helps provide the framework for maintaining quality and compliance with standards across the organization.

Enhancements to the JobBOSS Quality Toolkit version 8.0 include:- Option to write back non-conformance (NC) origination notepad to JobBOSS internal notepad, on completion of NC origination, or closing of NC
- Option to write back selected costs of non-conformance to JobBOSS job, material tab, upon closing of NC
- Ability to upload/use digital signature (bitmap)
- Usability improvements including the ability to change log-in user on the fly, and the addition of previous & next buttons for easier navigation
- New reports including NC Analysis by job/part; NC CPA Association; Document distribution; and batch printing of maintenance tickets
