Santa Barbara, California - April 5, 2005 - Exact Software today announced the release of its newest version of Alliance/MFG software. The new version is the result of ongoing product research and development, in which the Alliance/MFG customer base continues to play an essential part. Exact Alliance continues to enhance its already complete Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system designed especially for small to mid-sized manufacturers.
Jesse Dowler, Exact Alliance Division Product Manager says, "Version 6.6 of Alliance/MFG incorporates many new features, product enhancements, and new reports." In addition to nearly 20 Bug Fixes, new features include:- "Inactive" Flag on the Part Master - By marking a Part as "Inactive", users can effectively hide these items in lookup screens throughout the system, limiting their use.
- Various Enhancements to the Physical Inventory system - Tags may now be generated for only Inventory On Hand, rather than All Parts, while other Tag improvements allow users to identify when a Tag was made, whether the Counted Quantity was approved, and even "Re-Freeze" the Inventory Quantity for a Tag.
- Improved Shortage Management for Work Orders - Users will now receive a warning when completing a Work Order when shortages exist for that Work Order.
- Revised Online Help Documentation - In a massive update to a Help File, our new Online Help Documentation is as complete and thorough as our printed User Guide, providing all the information and knowledge in a searchable and organized format.
