Foster City, California – September 12, 2005. Exact Software™, a leading provider of solutions that connect the people, processes, and knowledge essential to the success of an organization, today announced the availability of the latest Exact MAX® release 1990 ("batch 1990"), which features extensive costing changes that will help customers better manage financial reporting under Sarbanes-Oxley. "The changes we have made dramatically increase the consistency and hence defensibility of our accounting practices, so I believe it will be a vast improvement" said Chuck Juhnke, MAX Director of Professional Services.
A cornerstone of MAX development is the feedback collected from customers. MAX customers have come to expect that the issues most important to them will receive due attention in subsequent releases. In fact, 83 reported customer issues have been resolved for Max batch 1990. Also new to batch 1990: part management improvements with MPN string functionality and enhanced serial management in Shop Floor Execution; enhanced editing capability and loading functionality in ETL; enhanced filtering functionality for better planning simulation; enhanced support between modules; and extended interoperability between MAX and e-Synergy.
“Many of our customers are currently pressed to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley governance issues.” said Clive Boulton , MAX Director of Development. “One aspect of this is balancing the EOP WIP report with the From-To-Charge reporting. Max batch 1990 provides the vehicle to accomplish this formally. Additionally the batch includes BOM level Manufacturers part control, ideal for high tolerance electronic manufacturing, plus more than 70 customer requested bug fixes.”
