SAP America and Americas’ SAP Users’ Group Announce Co-Location of SAPPHIRE® ’06 and ASUG Annual Conference |

Co-Location Will Serve a Larger Segment of the SAP Community by Delivering the Best Customer-Oriented Events
NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. - May 03, 2005 - SAP America, Inc., the North American subsidiary of SAP AG (NYSE: SAP), and Americas’ SAP Users’ Group (ASUG), an independent customer-run organization, today announced that they will co-locate their two major annual events in 2006. Orlando, Florida will play host to the ASUG Annual Conference and Vendor Fair, being held May 14 – 17, with a seamless transition into SAPPHIRE ’06, May 17 –19. The two organizations announced their plans to an audience of more than 6,000 attendees at the 2005 ASUG Annual Conference, being held in Anaheim, May 1 – 4.
“By co-locating these two events in the same city and venue, we will serve a larger segment of our SAP community by delivering the best customer-oriented, customer-driven events,” said Bill McDermott, president and CEO, SAP America. “We are creating an opportunity to reach further into our customer community, to drive greater synergy between the two events and to address the needs of customers in an innovative format.”
“The programming, structure, audiences and marketing of these events are not changing,” said Karen Chirico, ASUG president, Honeywell. “Through co-location, we will increase exposure and strengthen the reach of both organizations, and we will provide a more dynamic customer experience by bringing together more facets of the SAP eco-system.”
The co-location format will continue to feature two independent and separate events, targeted to separate audiences and marketed independently of one another. However, the innovative format will provide customers with choices on how to plan and manage their event experience. Through the ASUG Annual Conference, attendees can witness the “here and now” of SAP; SAPPHIRE attendees can get a glimpse of the “future.” Attendees can choose how to make the best use of their own time, as well as that of their teams. Customers looking for a holistic approach can attend both events, or parts thereof, which previously was not an option. Customers can also take the “business as usual” approach, following the same schedule as they have in the past.
