SAP and JetBlue Ready for Take Off

Airline Selects mySAP™ ERP to Support Aggressive Growth Strategy

NEW YORK, N.Y. - May 09, 2005 - SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced that JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ: JBLU), a popular low-cost passenger airline, has selected mySAP™ ERP to help sustain its continuing expansion. The prospering airline will leverage SAP’s market-leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution to support its projected staffing expansion of more than 130 percent in the next three years. Powered by the SAP NetWeaver™ platform, mySAP ERP will help JetBlue achieve the business agility it needs and eliminate obstacles of technology integration as the company grows.

“Since our launch in 2000, we have expanded from serving just two cities to 29 cities around the country and the Caribbean, a major success in the competitive airline marketplace,” said Vinny Stabile, vice president of People at JetBlue. “To meet the demands of our increasing customer base, we plan to add over 10,000 new JetBlue crew members in the next three years. As a growing company, we required a reliable business partner to provide us with the most flexible and robust software solution to help us meet our current and future needs. After evaluating our options we were impressed with the flexibility of mySAP ERP and are confident in our ability to continue to meet our projected growth schedule and bring humanity back to air travel.”

The ERP implementation is currently underway with completion of the first phase expected in the third quarter of 2005. More than 8,000 JetBlue crew members in the airline’s 29 locations will use the software. The project is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2006.

“We are proud to add JetBlue, a widely respected new airline in the U.S. market, to our family of globally esteemed airline customers—continuing evidence that the best run businesses run SAP” said Bill McDermott, president and CEO, SAP America. “Our experience with industry-leading airlines will benefit a successful, growing airline like JetBlue and enable them to establish a strong technology foundation that will allow them to accommodate growth and adapt to market changes.”
