TEMPE, Ariz. - June 13, 2005 - SAP America, Inc., a subsidiary of SAP AG (NYSE: SAP), today announced that Insight Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: NSIT) (“Insight”), a leading IT solutions provider, will upgrade to mySAP™ Business Suite to further enhance operational efficiencies in its core business. mySAP Business Suite will be deployed to over 3,000 global Insight users to provide real and measurable benefits to the company’s current and future business, including reduced information technology costs, increased business process performance, and delivering a flexible platform to accelerate the growth of its solutions business.
“Our selection of SAP was an easy and unanimous choice for our company,” said Rich Fennessy, president & CEO of Insight. “mySAP Business Suite will provide us with a world-class technology platform in which we can run all of our important business processes smoothly and to our clients’ benefit. We look forward to broadening our already successful relationship with SAP as we continue to serve as a leading IT solutions provider.”
Leveraging the industry’s only true “applistructure” platform – SAP NetWeaver™, mySAP Business Suite provides Insight with a total solution that addresses various parts of its business, including service management, supply chain management, financials, human resources, sales, distribution, sales and marketing, reporting and analytics. In particular, Insight will leverage mySAP™ Customer Relationship Management (mySAP CRM) capabilities to support the growth of its services business and to improve the Insight experience for clients, partners and employees.
“SAP is pleased that Insight has decided to standardize all of its operations on SAP software to more effectively manage their business processes,” said Bill McDermott, president and CEO, SAP America. “mySAP Business Suite will enable Insight to fully integrate mission-critical business processes, and be in position to grow and innovate its solutions business. Our fully integrated CRM solutions will also help Insight drive stronger and more beneficial relationships with their clients and partners.”
In addition, Insight has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with SAP regarding potential participation in SAP’s Powered by SAP NetWeaver program through Direct Alliance Corporation (“Direct Alliance”), an Insight company. This would entail developing a go-to-market strategy around the offering of critical components of Insight’s Maximus solution integrated into the SAP NetWeaver platform.
