SAP America and Local Partners Announce Special SAP® Business One Offer for Hurricane-Ravaged Small and Midsize Enterprises

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. - May 02, 2006 - SAP America, Inc., a subsidiary of SAP AG (NYSE: SAP), today announced a special offer on SAP® Business One aimed at helping to rebuild small and midsize enterprises (SMEs) affected by the destruction wrought by Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita. Through local partners Advanced Business Systems of Metairie, La.; PSD Consultants of Houston, Texas; and Relian Technology of Laurel, Miss., hurricane-ravaged small businesses can accelerate their recovery by purchasing SAP Business One, the business management software application for SMEs from SAP, through a special offer that includes discounted per-user rates and free consulting services. This offer applies to all small and midsize enterprises affected by recent hurricanes throughout the disaster areas in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Texas.

Responding to the tens of thousands of businesses ruined and disrupted, SAP has teamed with its local partners to assist economic recovery by providing increased availability and heavily discounted rates for SAP Business One. Through the assistance program, qualifying small companies will receive a discount of 33 percent off the price of SAP Business One and 10 hours of free consulting. The combined offer of business management software and IT consulting services can give SMEs a solid operating platform upon which to build their recovery and future business success.

“The small business infrastructure remains the engine of growth for many of the cities and small towns badly damaged by last year’s hurricanes,” said Dan Kraus, vice president, SAP Business One. “With the dedicated teamwork of our local partners, SAP hopes to enable business processes at affected small businesses, allowing them to rebuild today while planning for long-term prosperity.”

"As local businesses work to overcome the economic hardships of the last six months, it’s imperative that companies like SAP and its partners continue to invest in the small business community to support the economic development of the region,” said Mark S. Lewis, president of the Louisiana Technology Council. “These SAP partners are providing economic assistance that directly assists individual small businesses and helps in their path to recovery.”

Through personal donations and volunteer work, SAP America, Inc., its channel partners and employees have worked diligently to meet the needs of citizens and businesses displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. In December 2005, SAP America, Inc. contributed $100,000 to the Small Business Disaster Relief Fund of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI), a support organization that supplies funding to small businesses affected by the devastation of both storms. In addition, SAP corporate and employee contributions to hurricane relief efforts have totaled $1.5 million, which the company has matched entirely through its Matching Gift Program.
