On Center's On-Screen Takeoff software aims to improve the accuracy of cost estimates while also cutting down on the time it takes to complete an estimate. This, the vendor said, lets firms send out more bids in less time.
The On-Screen Takeoff software interface features five tabs.Bids are managed by project name or project number; each project displays the number of electronic plans and the amount of conditions defined for a project.
Takeoffs can be drawn in the electronic Plans tab, where conditions are color coded, the vendor noted.
From there, estimators go to the Takeoff tab, where the takeoffs drawn in the Plans tab are organized into the chart and can then be grouped by type or by area.
